Save time – Plan & Schedule your Social Media Content

There’s nothing better than starting a week and knowing your social media content is planned and scheduled! When you plan your content you know you will be posting quality content that aligns with your brand and content you know your followers will love. I don’t know about you, but that’s a win in my books.

I personally like to schedule my content at least 2 weeks in advance, if I can have a month ready even better. 

Planning content for your socials is KEY for any business.

Set one day to write the topics you want to talk about then another day to write all the captions. Trust me…it sounds like a lot of work but it’s 100% worth it once it’s all ready!

Here are some tips to get started:

  • Pick a day of the week to plan your content. Pick a day that you know you are not usually super busy and overwhelmed. You want to have a clear mind and feel creative.
  • Pick 5-6 categories that you would like to talk about each month (team members, services, activities, etc)
  • With the categories chosen before, start writing specific topic ideas (under team member you can choose who you are talking about – maybe one of the hygienist and under services decide to talk about one service – maybe whitening)
  • After you have picked different topics, organize them in a calendar and start writing each caption.

There are many apps in the market that helps you organize your social media content. They allow you to plan and schedule your content ahead of time.

Another great idea is to get team members involved. We all know planning content for your socials can be stressful. That’s why getting your team members to participate is so important. Team members can help you come up with topics to talk about. I know some practices get team members to come up with topic ideas and share them at meetings.

If you create many captions ahead of time you will be posting quality content instead of rushing to post a caption.

When I plan my content ahead of time and batch create, the quality of my content is much better. There’s more thought put into it. I am also more efficient and I make sure I get my message across. It also allows me to be consistent and post regularly. 

If you don’t plan ahead I suggest you try it. Do it for a month and see how it goes! This small change can mean a better experience for you and your followers.
